The Apparitions
Medjugorje is a small village in Bosnia and Herzegovina, in Europe.
On June 24, 1981, something extraordinary began:
The Virgin Mary, Mother of Jesus Christ, began to appear.
These experiences — known as apparitions or spiritual manifestations — began with six young people from the village.
They are now known as the visionaries.
The apparitions have continued for more than 40 years.
They occur in a profound atmosphere of peace and prayer.
In those moments, the visionaries are completely focused.
Their experience cannot be explained by science.
They feel profound peace and inner joy.
The Message of Mary
Mary comes with a message of peace.
She calls the world to prayer, conversion, and spiritual renewal.
She gently invites us to return to God through Jesus Christ, true God and true man, the Savior of the world.
She leads us with love — guiding us to the heart of God:

It is a message of hope.
Signs and Spiritual Fruits
Over the years, many pilgrims have reported extraordinary signs in Medjugorje:

Her presence leads many to silence, prayer, and transformation.
